Whitefox is an award-winning UK company with operations in Canada and the US.
We provide membrane-based solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption, water usage and greenhouse gas emissions in industrial processes.
We have developed an innovative, versatile and highly scalable technology platform from which it can serve multiple market segments with energy efficient and process enhancing solutions.
Established in 2000, Whitefox has 20 years of industrial experience in providing energy and water efficient separation systems for integrated chemical reactors, waste ethanol recycling in pharmaceutical plants, potable and biofuels production.

We develop membrane solutions and know-how to address some of the most pressing issues facing our planet: deriving energy from clean, renewable resources, and providing clean water in an energy-efficient manner.
Whitefox’s innovative products and processes go beyond state-of-the-art, making it a leader in developing sustainable solutions for humanity’s growing energy and water needs.

Ethanol
An industry already benefiting from Whitefox's energy-efficient membrane solutions is ethanol manufacturing. Ethanol is used in many areas; from fuel ethanol and pharmaceuticals, to potable and high purity industrial ethanol.
Fuel ethanol can be used instead of gasoline and be made from a variety of feed-stock such as municipal waste, biomass, corn, wheat, sugar beat or sugar cane.
Fuel ethanol is blended fuel for vehicles, for example E15 containing 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline. In Brazil, flexible-fuel vehicles are optimised to run on any mix from 20% to 100% ethanol (E100).
In developing countries, Ethanol has the potential to provide communities with a sustainable, decentralised and cost-effective energy source.
