Reflecting on Q3 2024 with Whitefox
As we move into the final months of 2024, we are thrilled to share some of the key highlights and achievements made by Team Whitefox during Q3.
This quarter, Whitefox continued to highlight the benefits of our Membrane engineered solutions, delivering 50% energy savings when used as the sole dehydration technology compared to alternative technologies. We experienced significant growth opportunities to advance both our organization and the ethanol industry through innovative projects, impactful events, meaningful recognition, and continuing to drive our mission forward. Let us take you on this global journey to demonstrate these benefits.
Let’s catch up…
ACE Annual Biofuels Conference 2024 USA
In August, Thiago Righi, Process Engineering Manager, Meghan Simorka, Marketing Coordinator and Tony Short, Chief Commercial Officer headed to Omaha, Nebraska to attend their first Annual Biofuels Conference organized by the American Collation for Ethanol. This conference is held every August, and the event was full of quality, informative presentations from industry leaders and a special guest, Secretary Tom Vilsack of the USDA, who spoke about policy updates and their sustained commitment to rural America and how important a role the ethanol industry plays in supporting agricultural practices and the livelihoods of farmers.
It also provided us with an opportunity to speak at this conference to highlight the energy reduction benefits of integrating our Whitefox membranes solutions to US ethanol producers, whether you produce Fuel or Industrial Grade Ethanol. With Industrial Ethanol, we are able to provide producers with the same low energy costs as if they were producing fuel, which is a major achievement, especially as the Industrial grade is a much drier product.
Whitefox Chief Commercial Officer, Tony Short, had the opportunity to present on the integral role membranes have in ethanol producers’ carbon intensity (CI) reduction strategy. Outlining where 50% of energy of an ethanol plant is used in the distillation, dehydration and evaporation (DDE) unit. By targeting this area, our Whitefox ICE XL solution will reduce the energy consumption by half which therefor lowers the plants CI score. This not only improves the plant’s efficiencies by eliminating the need for waste regeneration streams but also improves the marketability of the product compared to higher CI scoring plants and potentially opens up new pathways due to a low carbon footprint.
Whitefox is always delighted to be part of the ACE conference where we can build connections, receive valuable updates on the ethanol industry and demonstrate how in combination with ACE we can help shape the industry and provide the necessary innovations toward net-zero carbon.

Setting New Standards in Brazil
Fenasucro & Agrocana 2024
At Whitefox, we value innovation and the diverse efforts various regions take toward a more sustainable future. In September, we had the wonderful opportunity to learn about these diverse opportunities and attend the Fenasucro & Agrocana, an annual fair in Brazil exclusively focused on the bioenergy production chain.
We were thrilled to attend this event to check out the latest technology and industry trends that demonstrates Brazil’s continued dedication to innovation in the renewable and sustainable energy sector.
“I had the pleasure to attend the Fenasucro & Agrocana 2024, an important event for the sector! This event brought together a vast array of exhibitors and attendees from around the globe, making it an invaluable platform for fostering business relationships and strategic partnerships. Grateful to make connections and explore new innovations in ethanol, biomass, and energy” said Carlos Wilson ZANCHINI, Whitefox’s Executive Manager of Business Development.

The Vision Tech Summit 2024
Carlos Wilson ZANCHINI also had the opportunity to represent Whitefox at The Vision Tech Summit 2024 in Ribeirão Preto. The Vision Tech Summit is a conference that stands out as a point of convergence between technological innovation, industry and agribusiness.
The summit featured keynote speeches, thoughtful discussions, and networking opportunities focused on emerging technologies and their impact. Zanchini had a wonderful experience and found all of the lectures inspiring and enriching. This event emphasizes Brazil’s role in the global tech sector and highlights innovative solutions to address sustainability and other environmental challenges.
Celebrating Installations with BGW in Poland
With the visionary leadership of BGW Energy CEO, Bartosz Walkowiak, we are changing the landscape of the ethanol industry in Poland and in Europe. The Whitefox membrane solution is now installed at both of BGW’s plants, completely replacing molecular sieves. This upgrade has not only led them to a 25% capacity increase, but also a 50% reduction in energy consumption. As a result, they are producing every liter of ethanol today with a significantly lower carbon content, which will contribute to offset Carbon Taxes being applied by all European countries. So, not only is our solution good for the planet, but also kinder to the wallet.
Meghan Simorka, Whitefox Marketing Coordinator, had the privilege of visiting BGW Energy in September to capture the newly installed Whitefox membranes. “It was incredible to witness the membrane’s benefits firsthand and to connect with the hardworking, kind employees of BGW” says Simorka.
We can’t wait to share more of our journey at BGW Energy and the positive impact it will have on the industry!

Whitefox CEO, Gillian Harrison, featured on the Circularity Podcast
In a recent episode of the Circularity Podcast, Gillian Harrison engaged in a thought-provoking discussion with hosts, Andre Shortell and Victor Ghitescu. The conversation highlighted the pivotal role of rural communities all over the world in leading the path to net zero. Harrison emphasized their impressive innovation in the face of climate challenges.
The podcast also explored Whitefox’s transformative journey in developing biofuel solutions and scaling to the United States. The considerable opportunity for growth in new regions and industries is top of mind for Whitefox. Harrison also shared insights into how Whitefox’s advanced membrane technology is revolutionizing ethanol production by significantly reducing both energy and water consumption.
“A must-listen for anyone interested in sustainability, energy efficiency, and the future of green technology”, says Pantokrator.
This podcast was presented by Pantokrator, a dedicated investment banking company focused on businesses in the energy transition and sustainability sector. Their commitment to supporting businesses that prioritize sustainability is something we deeply value and are grateful to be given the opportunity to share our vision.
